The Cotswold 4x4 Off Road Experience
£110 per driver
Using our modified 4×4 off road Land Rover Discovery’s we’ll take you on a 4×4 driving adventure around one of the stunning Cotswold Water Park lakes. Our 4×4 off road course has been built to challenge drivers of all abilities and one of our specially trained instructors will be alongside at all times to encourage you to tackle all of our obstacles and enjoy an adrenaline rush at just 5mph! We’ll also teach you the difference between high and low range gears and how and when to engage the diff lock so that you power up those near vertical ascents!
Once everyone has arrived, signed in and had their fill or tea or coffee, we’ll go through a quick safety briefing which will also covers the basics of the techniques that you’ll be using in the off road vehicles. It’s then straight into the cars as you head off to the picturesque Cotswold Off Road driving course. Once you arrive at the Off Road track, you’ll be taught to engage Low Range and diff lock so that you’re ready to take on the challenge!
Our specially trained instructors will demonstrate how to tackle each of the obstacles and you’ll then have a chance to give it a go. The level of difficulty will steadily increase throughout the course – in the woodland zone your wing mirrors will literally be rubbing the trees as your negotiate the tight course and then your heart will be in your stomach as you teeter over the edge of the near vertical Copse Gulley! By the end of your experience you’ll have encountered failed ascents, near vertical ascents and descents, axle twisters and some seriously undulating Cotswold terrain. The Cotswold Off Road 4×4 driving experience, guaranteed to be the most fun you’ve had at 5mph!!
Available most Thursdays and Fridays & occasional weekends, subject to availability. CHECK AVAILABILITY HERE
With 3 drivers sharing a car, taking it in turns to drive you’ll spend between 2-3 hours at the venue.
Drivers to be over 17 yrs old, hold full UK driving licence, be over 5’0”, under 6’6”.
Due to the fact the Off Road track is in a different location to the Sign On/briefing room and tea/coffee facilities, this experience is not really suitable for spectators.
